Dwayne Newton is a San Francisco-based photojournalist who has completed assignments for the Associated Press, USA Today, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Magazine and others.

In January 2005, Newton traversed 2000 miles around Sri Lanka with writer Jeff Greenwald, documenting the tsunami aftermath and recovery for Mercy Corps.

Newton is also a firefighter with the San Francisco Fire Department.
