Blake Everson is the founder of Origin Papua New Guinea. He has been visiting the small island nation of Papua New Guinea for nearly six years and has made repeated visits to the Kosua of Bosavi, including a two-month stay during December/January of 2011/12.
After graduating with an Environmental Literature degree from the College of Idaho, Blake Everson’s goal of traveling the world was cut short by an early-on visit to Papua New Guinea. Indeed, with over 850 distinct languages and at least as many cultures, there is more to discover on this shared-island nation than could satisfy a dozen wanderlust lifetimes.
Currently, after prudent consideration and recurrent discussions with members of the Kosua Tribe, Blake is leading two small group expedition-style tours of the Mt. Bosavi area per year. He believes that as the human world takes aim at a homogeneous, techno-industrial consumer culture; our most poignant teachings about what it really means to be human are found in the practiced wisdom of our remaining traditional cultures.
Blake lives near the small mountain town of Sun Valley, with his beautiful soon-to-be wife.
